NCAA Bids

In the last two years, the University of Arkansas has bid on a number of events, including golf, tennis, baseball, soccer, and softball events. The University handles all bids, and Destination Rogers has been able to help by obtaining hotel proposals with dates, rates, and space needs to guarantee rooms are available for the tournament if the bid is won. We also put together welcome bags for coaches and athletic directors upon arrival in Rogers.

Visit Rogers had the pleasure of traveling with Experience Fayetteville, Springdale Chamber of Commerce, Visit Bentonville, and the Univeristy of Arkansas athletic department to the NCAA Hosting Symposium.  At the symposium, we learned what bids were available to bid on in the upcoming months, the best way to fill out RFP’s, how to submit proposals, who to contact for questions, and we had the opportunity to network with NCAA employees as well as our collegues.

Experience Fayetteville and Visit Bentonville

Our partnerships also extend beyond Rogers to nearby towns, including Fayetteville and Bentonville, as we work together to attract larger pieces of business. Not only do we travel to shows together to pitch Northwest Arkansas as the ultimate sports destination, but we also coordinate and share site visits. If Destination Rogers cannot take a piece of business, we recommend our colleagues to the North and South to keep the business in Northwest Arkansas. We work with the State Tourism Department as part of the Arkansas Sports Team and attend tradeshows and partner on sponsorships.
