25 Things to Do in Rogers

#18: The 1907

Share!

An entire day can be spent at The 1907 in downtown Rogers. The historic building, built in 1907 as Rogers Wholesale Grocery later became a Dollar Saver and until its recent renovation opened as a shared space housing Onyx Coffee Lab, Doughp, Yeyo’s, The Heirloom, Dry Storage event space, and The Lofts. The café, restaurant, and retail shop are all owner-operated providing the highest quality guest services and satisfaction.

On a farm to cup mission the owners traveled to many countries and sampled an outrageous number of coffee beans in search of a farm with similar high standards and green coffee beans. Sourcing from East Africa and South and Central America the dream became reality; Onyx Coffee Lab was born in 2012. They have been awarded Good Food Awards and placed in regional and national barista competitions. Onyx Coffee Lab offers classes and tasting events to the public for those wanting to participate or enhance their skills. The roastery that supplies every serving of Onyx Coffee across the nation is also found in The 1907 and with the open floor plan it is available for public viewing.

The menu offers a variety of coffee drinks varying from traditional to modern flavors of chocolate, candied walnuts, and citrus. You can start your morning with espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, and brewed coffees or try something new like the coffee milkshake or quick batch brew – Southern Weather, the house blend. Grab a croissant or any other specialty pastry from Doughp and start your morning settled in a calm ambiance surrounded by greenery and white brick walls.
