25 Things to Do in Rogers #20: Razorback Regional Greenway

A 38-mile off-road shared-use trail is a collection of 19 individual trails with a starting point in Bella Vista that takes you through Bentonville, Rogers, Lowell, Springdale, and Johnson city limits ending in Fayetteville. The perfect tour through NWA with all the amenities for a cyclist, experienced or not. There are rest areas along the way with public restrooms, water stations, air pumps, restaurants, medical services, and the Equip Sling Station, a designated space for 40 hammocks with sun sails offering a shaded area to relax. That’s right, pack your hammock and a water bottle this could be a full day adventure.

If you do not own a bike, you can rent one from Highroller Cyclery located near the Rogers trailhead at Horsebarn Park where you will find parking. Head south on the trail towards the Pinnacle Hills area where you will find options for lunch. Bariola’s Pizzeria is a family restaurant with a sports bar ambiance serving delicious pizza, subs, and salads, great deals on drinks, a small arcade for the kids, and free soft serve ice cream. Other options, if you veer away from the trail are Mojitos Modern Mexican Grill, Grub's Bar & Grille, Carraba's Italian Grill, and many more.

You can opt out of lunch and ride along to the Equip Sling Station just past the Mercy Trailhead. Parking, public restrooms, a water station, and air pumps are also found here. This is a good rest spot and halfway point if you are only riding through Rogers. There will not be another public restroom or water station for a while so be sure to take advantage and fill up here.

Continue the ride along the trail and you will go through a city park, Jackson's Bench, and a golf course, The Greens at Blossom Way, which make for a great place to rest and enjoy the green scenery Arkansas is well known for.

If you are up for the challenge head south on the trail to Fayetteville that is mainly an incline and sure to have you asking why you were crazy enough to think you could make it all the way. Once you reach your destination the ride back to Rogers will be downhill and much smoother!
