During the holiday season, life seems even busier than usual. With holiday parties, baking, Christmas shopping, and more added to already busy every day activities - things can get a little crazy.
Sometimes it is nice to just get away from it all and enjoy a nice, romantic date night with the one you love. Enjoy dinner and a movie, or try out one of these ideas for a beautiful holiday date night in Rogers.
1) Pinnacle Hills Promenade: Have you visited the Promenade during the holidays? So many beautiful, twinkling lights, Christmas trees, holiday music floating on the air… Date night can be as simple as taking a walk together, strolling through the Promenade, maybe grabbing a warm pretzel or warm, cinnamon-glazed pecans.
Not only that, but you will have your choice of restaurants. Do a little window shopping, maybe even a bit of real shopping for the kids; you can find special holiday sales here. Of course, you could always get a photo with Santa while you are there. Who No matter how you choose to spend your time, the Promenade is definitely a great place to spend some quality time together for a night out on the town.
2) Visit Imagine Studios and create personalized pottery for holiday gifts. What better way to connect than sitting down and chatting while creating unique, one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family?
3) Explore together. Take in the Rogers Historical Museum’s A Dash of Apple Vinegar exhibit and learn how apples were once the backbone of the Northwest Arkansas economy. You will travel back in time, getting to know stories about how apples shaped Rogers, perhaps while enjoying some warm apple cider? Also don't forget to stop by December 10 for the museum's Holiday Open House. This year’s theme is ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. This free event features guided tours of the 1895 Hawkins House featuring Clement Moore’s 1822 poem and a look at how families in early Rogers celebrated the season at home.
4) Need to just relax? Head to a local spa for a couple’s massage.
5) Attend the Rogers Christmas Parade to see a variety of floats and lights that make downtown Rogers sparkle like a picturesque holiday film. You will want to get to downtown early to eat at one of our many delicious restaurants prior to the parade (supporting our local restauranteurs by purchasing a gift card makes for a great Christmas present as well!). Stop in at Alexander Baking Co. for a cup of hot chocolate or a cute, holiday-themed cookie.
6) Browse your favorite book store together, maybe enjoy a warm beverage. Barnes & Noble is a great place to find a quiet corner and enjoy a good book, or the company.
7) If you just don’t feel like going out, you could always enjoy a night in together. Cook up a nice, juicy steak from Ivan’s Old Time Meat Shop. Light a couple candles, and turn the television to your favorite holiday movie. Sometimes a quiet night in is just what a couple needs.
