Join Chef Maudie Schmitt of Cafe Rue Orleans and & Chef Chrissy Sanderson of Mockingbird Kitchen as they team up in the HKS Kitchen to teach you all the great holiday party foods with a twist.  Participants will learn how to create multiple appetizer dishes hands-on like mini reubens, cajun meatballs, homemade pimento cheese, and even a Paloma cocktail!  Enjoy eating each dish while picking up culinary knowledge and skills from two of NWA's favorite chefs.  Recipes will be provided.

**All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or transfers of credit to other classes are available.**

MEET THE CHEFS:

Born and raised in New Orleans, Chef Maudie Schmitt has an extensive restaurant heritage and learned to cook from the many great chefs in her own lively family.  She taught special education for 23 years until deciding to open a restaurant.  Cafe Rue Orleans opened in 2001, and has been blessed with much success in the NWA area.  Chef Maudie recently competed on Food Network's Supermarket Stakeout where she was a runner up!

Chef Chrissy Sanderson attended The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York after discovering her love of culinary industry. She returned to Fayetteville and became the executive chef and co-owner of Bordinos for the next eight years, catapulting the intimate fine dining restaurant to a remarkable destination restaurant. Starting in 2007 she began instructing at NWACC and in 2013 she was a consulting chef in establishing the Walmart To Go Deli concept.  Chef Chrissy opened Mockingbird Kitchen in 2016 and has been pleasing NWA's tastebuds ever since!

Masks are encouraged but not required during our classes.  Please be advised in our new HKS kitchen, you may be working in small groups in a hands-on experience.
