The Rogers Public Library

The Rogers Public Library (RPL) was opened in 1904 with a whopping 458 books on its shelves and a staff of volunteers who were dedicated to expanding the cultural opportunities of their community. Today, the shelves hold not only 150,000+ books in a wide variety of genres, but also audio books, movies, music, and periodicals. There are special sections for large print books, graphic novels and books printed in Spanish. For over a decade, the RPL has been named “First” or “Runner-up” in the Best Library category in local media surveys.

The Library’s website contains a wealth of information about their services and programs, including a very full calendar of events that you can browse as you are planning your visit to Northwest Arkansas. The programs on the calendar vary for small children, teens, parents and seniors. The website also provides links to online resources and digital book-sharing services. Note: to check out books or use the Books2Go program, you will first need to sign up for a library card.

Centrally located in Rogers, it is just a short drive from the Pinnacle Hills Promenade mall and right down the street from the Rogers Aquatics Center. Drop the kids off to swim, and spend some time catching up on your favorite vacation read. Bring your tablet or laptop and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi, available without a library card.

The library provides more than fifty computers for public use and a reference section. It is one of the only local libraries that employs a full-time staff of Reference Librarians who are available anytime the library is open.
