Hit the Bricks in Downtown Rogers

Tour the Daisy Airgun Museum located in downtown Rogers. Daisy relocated to Rogers in 1958 from Plymouth, Michigan, and has been the home of Daisy Outdoor products ever since. You will receive a guided tour into the history of the Daisy brand viewing artifacts that date back to the opening of the company. Learn the surprising story of NASA’s involvement with Daisy, and even smile at memorabilia from the movie “A Christmas Story”, where Ralphie asked for an official Red Ryder, which was a Daisy Outdoor product.

Have lunch at Levi’s Gastrolounge & Low Bar in the heart of downtown Rogers. Levi’s features fresh entrees such as fish tacos, artisan burgers, and specialty desserts. Make sure you leave room for their signature homemade donuts!

Step back in time for a tour the Rogers Historical Museum. See the 19th-century replica of First Street, do some time in the restored jail cell, and tour the middle class Victorian Hawkins House, restored to its early 1900’s condition. After a short stroll, revel in Rogers’ railroad history with a visit to the retired Frisco railroad caboose located in Frisco Park. Then explore the rest of the downtown shops, pausing for wine and a live art demonstration from a local Rogers’ artist.

Check into a convenient Rogers hotel, located within walking distance from shopping and dining. Have dinner at area dining standouts like Crabby’s Seafood Bar & Grill, Smokin’ Joe’s Ribhouse, Napoli’s Italian Restaurant, Las Palmas, Foster’s Pint & Plate, and many others.

Taste of the Ozarks

Ride out to scenic HWY 12, beginning in historical downtown Rogers along the east side of Beaver Lake. Enjoy the views of the lake, nature, and shorelines on the way to your next destination.

Marvel at the only water - powered grist mill in full operation in Arkansas – War Eagle Mill. Explore the mill grounds, discover the old fashioned water wheel method used to grind corn into flour, listen to the stories of the millers, and visit the two - story gift shop. Lunch will be at the mill’s feature restaurant, the Bean Palace.

Visit Arkansas’s largest state park in land area, Hobbs State Park - Conservation Area. Take an easy nature walk, barrier free and complete with resting benches along the way, on the Ozark Plateau Trail. Experience firsthand the true beauty of the Natural State while learning about the diverse plant, animal, and geologic systems of the Ozarks.

After a full day it is time to head over to Ozark Beer Company for a flight of local beers and a craft brewing lesson from the brewmaster. Ozark features beers suited for all tastes, and the accolades just keep pouring in for this Rogers microbrewery. Continue the beer themed afternoon at the newest microbrewery in town, New Province Brewery, drinking in the growing craft beer scene in Northwest Arkansas.

Dine at the restaurant of your choosing in downtown Rogers before you head to the Arkansas Public Theatre (APT) at the Victory in Historical Downtown Rogers. The Victory Theater opened its doors in 1927, and APT has brought performing arts to downtown Rogers for the past 30 years.

Battles and Bargains

Start the day at Pea Ridge National Military Park. On March 7 - 8, 1862, 26,000 soldiers fought here to decide the fate of Missouri and the West. The 4,300 acre battlefield honors those who fought for their beliefs. Pea Ridge was one of the most pivotal Civil War battles and is the most intact Civil War battlefield in the United States. Begin your tour in the visitor’s center, featuring an orientation film, museum, bookstore, and gift shop. Outdoor activities include a 7 - mile self - guided tour, 28 interpretive exhibits, 9 miles of horse trails, and 7 miles of hiking trails.

Lunch is on the north side of Rogers at Catfish John’s. As they say, “Nothing fancy. Just good food!”. Enjoy catfish, hushpuppies, and all the trimmings.

The afternoon is reserved for Rogers’ special brand of retail therapy. Explore the shops at Pinnacle Hills Promenade, Northwest Arkansas’ premier shopping destination, featuring over 100 stores and 12 restaurants. Find more bargains at the Shoppes at Pinnacle Hills, Village on the Creeks, and other shopping districts throughout the city.
