Friday

Kick your weekend off by getting dinner at one of the delicious local restaurants near the Promenade. Grab a burger and milkshake at Big Orange, explore the Mexican fare at Local Lime or head to one of our many craft beer hotspots. Ozark Beer Company has beers as distinct as the downtown historic building in which they are located. In their tasting room, you can taste everything from a stout to pale ales, including the Onyx Coffee Stout, which is a favorite made with coffee from the local Onyx Coffee Lab. New Province Brewing Company may be the new kid on the block, but they have already established themselves with their signature beers and a rotating, seasonal menu. In addition to its brews, New Province is known for its fun open space with pool tables, TVs and trivia night.

You don’t have to look far for entertainment. For live music, you can peruse the lineup at the Walmart AMP and attend a concert, stand-up comedy, symphony or a variety of shows that they offer. You can also find live music throughout Rogers, with many talented artists in NWA.

Saturday

Start your day by enjoying a strong cup of coffee at any of our local coffee shops, like Bolder Coffee or Iron Horse Coffee Company. Once you have fuel for the day, get outside at one of the many parks and lakes in the area. You can go to Lake Atalanta for hiking, kayaking, or mountain biking. Plus the Atalanta trails connect to The Railyard Bike Park for the ultimate biking experience, complete with natural surface trails and pump tracks. Head to Beaver Lake to get on the water for all kinds of water sports and activities, from boating, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, or lounging on the lake. Once you’ve dried off at Beaver Lake, head to the neighboring Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area, which covers more than 12,000 acres with hiking, biking, and interpretive experiences. 

Be sure to explore our museums where you can tour the Daisy Airgun Museum to learn the history of the iconic Daisy Airgun while you see vintage products and artifacts that have been preserved. For more information about Rogers and the surrounding region, go to Rogers Historical Museum to discover the history of Rogers from local experts. After you’re done there, stop by A.G. Russell Knives right off Interstate 49 to get one of the uniquely crafted knives or accessories available in their retail store. 

Once you’re ready for a bite to eat, head downtown to the City Pump that features gourmet food trucks that serve up delectable food from American and BBQ to Asian fare. Our area also offers countless family friendly activities such as miniature golf, bowling, laser tag, or high-rise jumping! 

A Saturday in Northwest Arkansas wouldn’t be complete without “Calling the Hogs” at a University of Arkansas Razorbacks game. Whether you are simply interested in tailgating or if you prefer catching all the action on the gridiron, Razorback weekends are a party all over NWA and at many local bars, restaurants and entertainment venues in Rogers. Call one of our many restaurants to see if they are hosting a watch party!

Sunday

Don’t skip the most important meal of the day. Rogers has some amazing breakfast and brunch spots, such as First Watch and Mirabella’s Table. Remember to get gifts for your friends, family and coworkers or for your own keepsake to remember the Rogers experience, like an Arkansas cutting board, Razorback gear, or a piece of pottery made right here in Rogers. 

Needing to relax after a long weekend? Treat yourself to a day of pampering at one of the many spas and salons in Rogers.

Before you head out of town, check out the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad, which is a special passenger train that offers “A Window Seat to History.” The train travels through the mountains and valleys of Northwest Arkansas, through a tunnel, all the way to the top of the Boston Mountains and into the Arkansas River Basin. If you have to leave Rogers, we understand, but do it in style on the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad.
